The Division of Nuclear Medicine in the Department of Radiology at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine is seeking to fill a full-time faculty position at the rank of Assistant Professor, Associate or Professor on the clinical educator track on the Clinical Educator track commensurate with qualifications and experience.  

  

JOB DUTIES: 

  • Responsibilities of the candidate include providing interpretations of plain film, CT and MR studies, from multiple facilities, including Jackson Memorial Hospital. 

  • Provide clinical care/consultation, teaching of trainees, service, and potential involvement in research. 

  • Participation in grand rounds, journal clubs, multidisciplinary conferences. Able to serve on departmental and institutional committees.  

  • Recruiting, training, and mentoring other faculty and staff physicians.   

  • Conducting research and publishing papers in academic journals. 

  • Representing the university at conferences and delivering presentations when necessary. 

  • Teaching and supervising undergraduate and graduate students 

  • Attending faculty and departmental meetings and voicing concerns or providing suggestions for improvement. 

 

Facility resources include a state-of-the-art PET/CT, SPECT/CT and gamma camera equipment, with associated computer hardware and software for dedicated nuclear medicine post-processing and advanced analysis. Newer additions include capabilities for Artificial Intelligence integration into the workflow 

 

Job Qualifications 

 

Professional Experience Qualifications:  

  • Candidate must possess experience in all facets of Nuclear Medicine Diagnostic Imaging. 

  • Experience in Radiopharmaceutical Therapy and Theranostics is highly desired as the Division is quite active in conventional and new therapies for thyroid cancer, lymphoma, neuroendocrine tumors, and prostate cancer, to name a few 

  • Candidates for this position should be both Nuclear Medicine (ABNM) and Diagnostic Radiology (ABR) Board certified or Board eligible.  

  • M.D. or D.O., Ph. D or foreign equivalent, in medicine and eligibility for full medical licensure in the State of Florida 

  • Excellence in academic achievement as demonstrated by a record of scientific presentation and/or publications.
