To support our continued growth, the LCP (Large Capital Project) organization at dsm-firmenich in the Americas is preparing for a significant increase in workload over the next few years. As the company’s expert team in delivering large capital projects, we provide critical support to all business units. To ensure the successful execution of our expanding project portfolio, we are seeking talented individuals to join our team.

 

We are currently recruiting for Associate Director Project Manager at our Princeton facility.

 

In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the entire lifecycle of projects related to engineering, procurement, construction, and startup, with a focus on installing new production lines and constructing greenfield factories. You will develop and maintain comprehensive project plans and schedules while sharing accountability for project outcomes.  Our Princeton campus, which serves as our regional headquarters, includes two factories, offices, a warehouse, and laboratories.

Your key responsibilities:

  • Safely deliver Large Capital Projects on time, on budget and in scope with travel up to 35%
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure alignment and coherence in business case development, integrating corporate goals and regional objectives into project execution plans.
  • Build, manage, and maintain contractual partnerships to ensure successful delivery of all workstreams and seamless integration across stakeholders.
  • Proactively identify, assess, and mitigate project risks, developing contingency plans to ensure successful project outcomes and minimal disruption.
  • Navigate complex and culturally diverse environments, employing tailored communication and leadership approaches to build trust and ensure stakeholder engagement.
  • Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor project progress, identify areas for improvement, and ensure alignment with business objectives.

 

This position is eligible for the dsm-firmenich Hybrid Working model, spending 2 - 3 days per week in office and the balance of the work week in a home office. You can potentially expect to spend 5 days a week on site during active construction periods. You must reside in a geography that is commutable via car to Princeton, NJ.
