The Digital Anchor produces, presents, and technically directs content daily using our state-of-the-art OBS digital news desk. We are live daily on our Smart TV app (ValleyCentral+), desktop, and mobile devices. This is an exciting, groundbreaking position if you love breaking news and are technically inclined to multitask while talking in front of one or multiple cameras and bringing up shots.

Our hosts do all the following every day:
-Host a live digital show “ValleyCentral+ News Now” from 11 a.m. – 12 p.m. and 4 p.m. – 5 p.m. (Monday-Friday)

-Anchor live, breaking, and developing news coverage on ValleyCentral+ and other digital platforms

-Launch creative, compelling daily content for viewers on mobile, desktop, and connected TV

-Talk to reporters and newsmakers via Zoom
-Self-direct the show
-Set up and coordinate guests for in-studio or remote appearances
-Plan content for each day

-Keep up to date with local, state, national, and world news

-Help guide other employees on how to execute a digital show

Requirements & Skills:

-Calm, credible presence in breaking news situations with strong editorial judgment

-Excellent ad-libbing and live anchoring skills
-Competence in reporting live, online, and on air
-Reporting on digital platforms
-Setting up guests and reporters
-Computer skills
