Wasserman Marketing is looking for a motivated individual to join the Brands Retainer Client team in one of our offices (Los Angeles, CA, Raleigh, NC, or Brooklyn, NY). This position is responsible for leading, developing and managing a variety of current and prospective business relationships, sponsorships, and other partnerships in order to ensure client satisfaction. This position is expected to consistently provide excellent customer service to accounts, as well as represent client needs and goals within the organization to ensure quality.

Duties:

  • Leads team members in client service, partnership development, partnership management, general relationship development, project coordination and internal agency resource coordination with the goal of activating across HBCU and broader DE&I focused property and talent partnerships.
  • Training and professional development of more junior team members.
  • Works with client to develop partnership constructs, promotional concepts, secure buy-in with client and partner teams, work with strategy, analytics and creative services to validate partnerships and oversee program execution across multiple partner agencies.
  • Manages client and partner relationship to ensure the client is fully leveraging all partnership benefits and assets and partners are held accountable for deliverables tied to asset fulfillment.
  • Oversees interagency relationships; works with our Wasserman agency team to collaborate with outside agencies and partners to ensure smooth execution of all client programs; mentors and guides status calls, integrated project plans, budget documents and more.
  • Manages the day-to-day contractual elements of the various relationships with properties and talent while also managing expectations of each party.
  • Helps lead the working relationship with key client and partner stakeholders to ensure all parties receive appropriate attention, support, and ensures Wasserman is in lock-step with the client’s plans as it relates to growth and changes.
  • Builds relationships with client teams and internal business units that will lead to new and repeat business opportunities.
  • Takes ownership of monitoring the competitive landscape of each client’s business as well as the industry contexts for their investments.
  • Builds with minimal oversight and the support of the broader agency team cutting-edge strategic plans for clients to meet and exceed objectives.
  • Uses forward-thinking initiative to identify the next best strategic opportunities and continue to deliver top results to the client.
  • Manages client communications, conflict resolution, and compliance on client deliverables.
  • Works closely with the project team in order to maintain a continuous knowledge of project status in order to identify potential issues and/or opportunities within or related to the project.
  • Can demonstrate experience leading teams through condensed timelines over several time zones, multiple deliverables in parallel, various stakeholders and adhering to a process that ensures deliverable completion and maintains the highest quality possible.
  • Oversees, initiates and delegates regular two-way communication between our day-to-day clients, client business units, client brand teams, internal Wasserman teams and all external partners and vendors to provide strong client service and set proper client expectations.
  • Takes a proactive role to understand Wasserman’s capabilities and service offerings in order to identify opportunities to present new capabilities to the clients.
  • Is comfortable expanding beyond the remit of this particular role and is willing to support and/or help lead new client pitches and play a role in responding to RFPs.
  • Thinks daily about business development and new revenue opportunities with existing clients and potential clients.

Requirements

  • Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree.
  • 6+ years relevant experience with minimum 4 years of direct experience in account and project management (preferably in the sports or entertainment field).
  • Specific experience working in multi-cultural
