Human Resources Talent Acquisition Specialist

Emerson has an exciting role for you as a Human Resources Talent Acquisition Specialist with growth opportunities! Based in Shakopee or Chanhassen, MN, you will play a pivotal role in supporting staffing and recruitment across multiple sites, including both production staffing and university recruitment. This role is ideal for individuals who thrive in dynamic, collaborative environments and are passionate about talent acquisition and employee engagement.
This role provides a fantastic opportunity to contribute to both staffing and university recruiting functions at Emerson, playing a key part in shaping the future workforce while ensuring a smooth and efficient staffing process!
In this Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
- Own the hourly/direct labor staffing process across three Twin Cities campuses, working with operations to meet staffing needs
- Manage Emerson’s Twin Cities summer temporary assembler program
- Organize and attend on-campus career fairs, interviews, and information sessions to attract top talent for new grad and internship programs
- Lead all aspects of internal job postings, interview scheduling, and candidate evaluations
- Plan and implement events for our new grad, internship, and summer temporary programs
- Manage staffing metrics and dashboards, including labor forecasting, capacity analysis, and program performance (candidate quality, cycle time, quality of hire)
- Assess external labor market trends and recommend program improvements to HR and Operations
- Collaborate with team on continuous improvement projects, ensuring efficiency and alignment with business goals
- Maintain compliance with EEO requirements and coordinate onboarding activities
- Develop and maintain relationships with local universities, college career service centers, and hiring managers
- Focus on building diverse teams and ensuring alignment with Emerson’s hiring goals
- Bachelor’s degree
- One to two years of relevant experience
- Legal authorization to work in the United States
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a proven ability to build relationships and interact effectively at all levels
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and act with integrity and professionalism
- Willingness to travel (up to 30%) for university relations activities
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Human Resources, or a related field
- One to two years of related experience in HR or recruiting
- Experience in recruiting for high-volume manufacturing roles or university roles
