About the role

Lakera is seeking a Red Team Services Lead to scale and elevate the delivery of our AI red teaming services as we grow. In this hands-on leadership role, you’ll own end-to-end service delivery while mentoring and developing a world-class team of offensive security engineers. You’ll ensure our customers receive rigorous, high-quality AI security assessments that deliver clear, actionable outcomes.

You’ll serve as the connective tissue between our red team and our customers — attending kickoffs, supporting technical deep dives and executive readouts, and ensuring engagements run smoothly from scoping to final delivery. You’ll also shape the evolution of our AI red teaming methodologies, helping us stay ahead of emerging threats while building a scalable, high-impact professional services practice.

You’ll work closely with Engineering, Sales, and Customer Success to ensure Lakera delivers exceptional client experiences while advancing the state of the art in adversarial AI testing. With your blend of offensive security expertise, leadership experience, and customer empathy, you’ll help define how AI security services are delivered at scale.

Lakera, a Check Point company, is on a mission to ensure AI does what we want it to do. We are heading towards a future where AI agents run our businesses and personal lives. Here at Lakera, we're not just dreaming about the future; we're building the security foundation for it. We empower security teams and builders so that their businesses can adopt AI technologies and unleash the next phase of intelligent computing.

We work with Fortune 500 companies, startups, and foundation model providers to protect them and their users from adversarial misalignment. We are also the company behind Gandalf, the world’s most popular AI security game.

We move fast and work with urgency. We act as one team but expect everyone to take substantial ownership and accountability. We prioritize transparency at every level and are committed to always raising the bar in everything we do. We promote diversity of thought as we believe that creates the best outcomes.

What You’ll Do:

  • Own end-to-end delivery of AI red teaming engagements, from scoping through final report delivery.

  • Act as the primary customer point of contact during active engagements, ensuring clarity, momentum, and trust.

  • Partner with customers to define AI-specific testing objectives, threat models, and success criteria.

  • Structure red team assignments based on AI system architecture, model types, agent complexity, and engineer skillsets.

  • Attend and support engineers during customer kickoffs, technical deep dives, and executive report readouts.

  • QA all assessment reports before customer delivery, ensuring technical accuracy, clarity, and actionable findings.

  • Establish and maintain quality standards across deliverables, methodologies, and reporting templates.

  • Mentor and develop engineers on the red team, identifying skill gaps and creating structured development plans.
Drive the evolution of AI red teaming methodologies based on real-world engagement learnings and emerging attack techniques.

  • Build scalable delivery processes that support growth, utilization tracking, and capacity planning.

  • Coordinate with Sales and Customer Success on pipeline visibility, forecasting, and engagement readiness.

What You’ll Bring:

  • 7+ years of experience in penetration testing, red teaming, or offensive security delivered in a consulting, professional services, or security services environment.

  • 3+ years of experience managing or leading security teams serving enterprise-scale organizations.

  • A proven track record managing client relationships with large, complex organizations through the full engagement lifecycle.

  • Experience scaling a services team or practice, including capacity planning, resource allocation, and quality control.

  • Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills, with comfort presenting in customer scoping calls, technical deep dives, and executive readouts.

  • Experience conducting AI/ML security assessments (e.g., prompt injection, jailbreaking, model security, or agentic systems) is strongly preferred.

  • Familiarity with AI security frameworks such as OWASP LLM Top 10, NIST AI RMF, or similar standards is strongly preferred.

  • An organized, self-starter approach with an eye for finding creative ways to improve processes and deliver excellence at scale.
