The Opportunity

Position assigned to either a role in Scheduling or Cost Management or a combination. Under appropriate supervision performs routine project controls assignments according to training, capability and experience.  In addition to performing duties as assigned, this position will be primarily focused on developing knowledge regarding scheduling, costing, and concepts related to the industry technology and project management.

Key Responsibilities

Gain working knowledge of industry, technologies, project execution, cost, schedule and financial systems.  General understanding of budgets.

Cost:

• Assists in Cost Reporting & tracking.
• Assists in maintenance of quantity reporting.
• Assists in managing change log. 
• Understands B&V financial entity DOR and begins comprehension of financial acumen.

Scheduling:

• Assists in schedule development and maintenance.
• Assists in schedule adherence reports.
• Assists in earned value reports.
• Assists with critical path and float analysis.

Preferred Qualifications

Prefer four-year Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Construction Management. 

Minimum Qualifications

Four year Bachelor's degree or local equivalent required, or equivalent experience. No experience required with a four year Bachelor's degree or local equivalent.

Work Environment/Physical Demands

Office Environment: This position requires sitting, talking, hearing, keyboard input and seeing.  Occasional travel up to 25% may be required.

Construction Site Environment: This position requires standing, kneeling, bending, stooping, moving, and walking long distances in and around confined, cluttered places and uneven areas. It also requires the ability to see and hear naturally or with correction, work at heights above 5 feet, climb and maintain balance on stairs, ladders, and scaffolds and work up to a 12-hour shift.
