Instructional Assistant, Elementary School (NE) (2025-2026) - St. Margaret Elementary School, Bel Air Md

St. Margaret School, located in Bel Air, MD, is seeking a qualified, full time instructional assistant for a kindergarten classroom. This position is responsible for assisting the teacher in supporting delivery of lessons and other aspects of classroom preparation and organization. The candidate would work under the direction of the classroom teacher, assisting students as needed. Knowledge of classroom technology and learning strategies is required.

Essential Functions

• Work under the direction of the classroom teacher
• Participate in the active supervision of students at all times
• Plan and organize optional classroom or outdoor activities as needed
• Work collaboratively with other teachers, assistants, staff, and administration
• Provide direct support to students with remedial or re-teaching activities
• Interact effectively in a professional manner with colleagues, parents, and administration.
• Support of St. Margaret School, its mission, and Continuous Improvement Plan
• Maintain high professional and personal standards consistent with the mission of the school and the teachings of the Catholic Church

Position Qualifications

• An associate degree or BA in ECED preferred
• Knowledge of the child development and supervision preferred
• Previous experience working with children

Pay Range: $15, Hourly
