Position Title: Executive Assistant

Department: Office of the President

Title of Immediate Supervisor: Chief of Staff

Funded Term / Work Cycle: 12-Month/Full-Time

Expected Daily Work Hours: 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

Expected Weekly Work Schedule: Monday – Friday, with occasional evening and weekend responsibilities associated with Board meetings, Commencement, Convocation, and other institutional events.

Pay Grade: 8S

Starting Salary Expectations:  $52,494 - $55,118, with starting salary determined based on relevant experience, qualifications, and demonstrated competencies.

Position Purpose

The Executive Assistant supports the effective operation of the Office of the President by providing high-level administrative coordination for the President, Chief of Staff, Chief Operations Officer, and Board of Directors. The position serves as a central point of communication and coordination for executive office operations, governance activities, constituent engagement, and major institutional events while maintaining the highest standards of professionalism, discretion, and customer service.

SUMMARY

The Executive Assistant is responsible for providing comprehensive administrative and operational support to the Office of the President. The position coordinates executive calendars, governance activities, Board operations, Cabinet communications and documentation, special events, and office operations while serving as the primary point of contact for many internal and external constituents. The Executive Assistant manages confidential information, supports donor stewardship and constituent engagement efforts, assists with budget administration, and contributes to the successful execution of institutional priorities and high-profile campus events. This position, with strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and exceptional customer service, helps ensure the efficient and professional operation of the President's Office.

Education and Experience required to ensure success in this position:

Education required:


Associate degree required
Bachelor's degree preferred in Business Administration, Communications, Higher Education Administration, Public Administration, or a related field
An equivalent combination of education and progressively responsible executive administrative experience may be considered


Experience required:


Five (5) to seven (7) years of progressively responsible administrative support experience
Experience supporting executive leadership, governing boards, senior administrators, or comparable leadership teams preferred
Experience coordinating meetings, events, communications, or office operations in a complex organizational environment preferred
Experience in higher education, nonprofit, government, or mission-driven organizations preferred
Experience utilizing donor databases, CRM syst
