Senior Engineer (Infoblox and F5)

The Role
As a Senior Engineer with Presidio, you will work in direct partnership with the client and internal Presidio teams to build and support complex and reliable network solutions.

Travel Requirements:

This role will be located on client site 5 days a week in the nearby Irving area.  Upon completion of 90 days, a hybrid work arrangement will be possible (3 days onsite; 2 days remote).

Responsibilities include:

• Design, maintenance, and third-level support for Cisco routing and switching
• Design, maintenance, and third level Support for Firewalls, including Next Gen
• Design, maintenance, and third level Support for Wireless Infrastructure
• Design, maintenance, and third level Support for Network Voice Infrastructure
• Design, maintenance, and third level Support for SD WAN
• Design, maintenance, and third level Support for Infoblox
• Design, maintenance, and third level Support for F5
• Established and proven experience of providing WAN & LAN support in diverse environments.
• Demonstrate a working knowledge, understanding, and experience with the following:
• Network infrastructure (WAN, MAN, LAN, Wifi, QoS for Data, Voice, and Video)
• Network protocols (IP, OSPF, BGP, RIP, IPSec, etc)
• MPLS / VPN / Hybrid WAN / Metro Networks / leased lines
• Network Hardware (Cisco routers and switches, cabling, firewalls)
• VOIP and Collaboration Systems
• Network connections to Cloud Providers (AWS, Azure, etc.)
• Network performance analysis and reporting
• Incident, Change and Problem Management processes within an ITIL based framework.
• Identity Management (Active Directory, ADFS, Azure AD, 2 Factor Auth, Radius, PEAP)
• Knowledge of Wireshark
• Operating systems: Microsoft (Server and Desktop), Linux
• Microsoft Office 365 & Visio Professional.
• A firm understanding of teamwork and ability to follow all procedures and documentation as defined and provided by management.
• Partner directly with the entire Presidio account team including the Account Manager, Sales Overlay, Service Delivery Manger and the remote Delivery Centers
• Other duties as assigned 

Required Skills and Professional Experience

• Bachelor's degree or the equivalent work experience and/or military experience
• Must have advanced design and support experience working with F5 and Infoblox
  • Design, maintenance, and third level Support for Infoblox
  • Design, maintenance, and third level Support for F5 
• Will require CJIS certification and background check to work onsite.  This certification ensures that individuals understand the security policies and best practices for protecting sensitive data.
• Ability to demonstrate self-sufficiency when working directly with clients. Deliver contributions to design and troubles shooting efforts.
• Ability to function and deliver in situations without direct supervision. Also, understand when escalations are necessary.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills, with an ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization.
• Logical, analytical approach to problem solving and attentive to detail.
• Strong team player; able to work effectively within a team and more broadly with people from a variety of backgrounds and areas across the organization.
• Provides organizational leadership and guidelines to promote the development and exploitation of technical knowledge in the organization.
• Has sufficient technical knowledge and practical experience to give leadership to multi-specialist projects.
• Demonstrates strong focus on quality delivery and customer experience.
• Will be expected to understand business priorities and embrace and learn new technologies that support the business strategy.
• The ability to manage and broker external suppliers’ contributions to ensure successful delivery of products and services required by the business.
• Provide mentoring to team/peers and to consultant colleagues, transferring skills and expertise.
• CCNP preferred or equivalent knowledge/certifications related to the area of specialty
