Boeing Defense Space & Security (BDS) is hiring an Entry-Level, or Associate Level Manufacturing Planner to join the Patriot Advanced Capability 3 (PAC-3) team located in Huntsville, AL. This position will support the production rate increase and advanced technology upgrade activities. This role will be involved in production support activities as well as continuous development projects improving manufacturing.

Boeing Huntsville has multi-year contracts to develop, manufacture, and test the Patriot Advanced Capability-3 (PAC-3) missile seeker and future improvements. These contracts are driving significant, long-term growth for the PAC-3 engineering team on the Huntsville campus.

Shift Work Statement: This position is for a B or C Shift. 

  • B Shift: M-Th; 4x10 – Starts at 4pm

  • C Shift: F/Sa/Su; 3x12 – Starts at 6am

  • Shifts may be eligible for a shift differential and subject to availability

Position Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and optimize manufacturing processes and planning
  • Collaborate with the manufacturing engineering team to review manufacturing build flows for planning producibility
  • Create and maintain manufacturing work instructions
  • Identify and resolve manufacturing issues to improve product quality and production efficiency
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives to reduce waste, improve cycle times, and enhance overall manufacturing performance
  • Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards

This position is expected to be 100% onsite.  The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location.

This position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship.  An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post Start is required.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Experience in manufacturing planning & production support
  • Experience in CAD software and manufacturing simulation tools
  • Experience reading, interpreting, and enforcing standardized manufacturing processes, work instructions, and engineering drawing and process procedures
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and project management skills

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • 1+ years of experience in manufacturing planning & production support
  • STEM focused Associate’s degree
  • Experience in Model-Based Design
  • Experience in Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing
  • Experience in MESci or similar Manufacturing system
  • Experience in Material Resource Planning (MRP) Systems (eg. CompassContract)
  • Experience in CAD software suites
  • Experience in Windchill or similar engineering management databases
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to present complex technical concepts to various audiences

Typical Education/Experience:

  • Level 1: related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience

  • Level 2: 2 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience
