UI Software Engineer

ABOUT THE TEAM

Anduril's Electronic Warfare (EW) systems are at the cutting edge of defense technology, designed to detect, analyze, and counter enemy electromagnetic signals. These systems play a crucial role in modern battlespace awareness and protection. 

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

• Build and design immersive image-viewing experiences in a web-based platform
• Take ownership of initial, well-scoped projects with clear objectives. Work closely with colleagues to deliver results, understanding the importance of teamwork in achieving success
• Partner with end-users to turn needs into features while balancing user experience with engineering constraints
• Travel up to 30% of time to build, test, and deploy capabilities in the real world

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Strong engineering background from industry or school, ideally in Software Engineering
• 3+ years working with a variety of programming languages such as Typescript/Javascript, Rust, Go, Python, etc. Recent Typescript is strongly preferred
• Experience in full-stack development, including working with RESTful and/or gRPC APIs, and developing frontend applications using, but not limited to, React
• Experience working in Linux-based environments. We are a software defined hardware enabled company, so expect to work on bare-metal hardware
• Experience building scalable solutions on edge infrastructure (and cloud)
• Ability to quickly understand and navigate complex systems and established code bases
• Passionate about working on critical software that has a real-world impact
• Be data driven and customer outcomes focused
• Experience using AGILE methodologies and execution
• Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Top Secret SCI security clearance

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent degrees
• Prior military service/contractor experience working with edge computing and tactical networking
• Experience at technology startups
• Experience in game engine development or computer graphics
• Experience with any of these: RxJs, ThreeJS, WebGL, GLSL, Canvas2d, WebWorkers, WebAudio, WebCodecs, Websockets, WebRTC
• Experience with Data Visualization
• Typescript library authorship
• Passion for frontend dev ecosystem
• Passion for performant browser application development

 

US Salary Range$138,000—$252,000 USD

 

The salary range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors, inclusive of base salary only. Actual salary offer may vary based on (but not limited to) work experience, education and/or training, critical skills, and/or business considerations. Highly competitive equity grants are included in the majority of full time offers; and are considered part of Anduril's total compensation package.
