About the role

This position entails development of a Data Acquisition (DAQ) system for a Lithium cell experiment. This will involve: electrical design of the DAQ with future modifications as the cell evolves; obtaining and learning to work up the data to help the research team and developing stop and safety controls through the DAQ software. The Research Aide will be required to learn the necessary chemistry and other requirements to run experiments within the cell to understand how this experiment works and what necessities are needed within the DAQ application and software. This will also include learning the FlexLogger and LabVIEW software for monitoring the DAQ. 

Education and Experience Requirements

  • The entirety of the appointment must be conducted within the United States.
  • Applicants must be:

‒ Currently enrolled in undergraduate or graduate studies at an accredited institution.

‒ Graduated from an accredited institution within the past 3 months; or

‒ Actively enrolled in a graduate program at an accredited institution.

  • Must be 18 years or older at the time the appointment begins.
  • Must possess a cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.
  • If accepting an offer, must pass a screening drug test
  • Must complete a satisfactory background check

The expected hiring range for this position is $26.96-$40.44.
