Your Role With Us: 

The advancement and delivery of top-notch, effective healthcare education is at the heart of what we do! Your commitment to building collaboration and trust will provide counseling and support services under the supervision of a licensed clinician in the Rocky Mountain University Counseling Clinic (RMUCC)

Core Functions: 

  • Carry a consistent caseload of clients seeking counseling and therapy services through RMUCC
  • Participate in weekly clinical supervision and staff meetings
  • Actively engage in community outreach activities to promote the RMUCC at health fairs, conventions, and other mental health organizations.
  • Adhere to all Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems and clinic scheduling and reporting under the Clinic Director  
  • Assist in the collection and maintenance of documentation as appropriate and required for the clinic and external stakeholder reporting requirements, including grant funding and clinical contracts (e.g., virtual academies).
  • Provide administrative support for student recruitment and retention to the RMUCC, outcome assessments, certification activities, and clinician recruitment and retention activities  
  • Assist other RMU clinic staff as needed, including fellow student Associate Clinical Mental Health Counselors, supervisors, and faculty
  • General office duties such as filing, copying, scanning, communication, etc.
  • Assist with other University-related matters as needed

Background/Expertise: 

  • Graduated and licensed as an Associate Clinical Mental Health Counselor
  • Demonstrate an understanding of and adherence to FERPA and HIPAA regulations in all aspects of client care and documentation.
  • Possess a developing knowledge of best practices in assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, clinical documentation, clinical supervision, and tele-mental health counseling.
  • A commitment to ongoing professional development and preparation for future licensure is essential.
  • Should be familiar with, or willing to learn, the use of standard office equipment and an electronic medical record system.
  • Be culturally aware and sensitive to the diverse backgrounds and experiences of clients.
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills are essential, along with a willingness to learn and use new technologies.
