About the Position

The position is intended to provide faculty and classroom support in the Department of Art and Art History, with an emphasis on Photography and other Art Studio concentrations in the department as needed. The position has a strong focus on maintaining health and safety standards in the department and ensures students, staff and faculty are trained in the safe handling of chemicals and equipment. In addition, this position manages the photo labs (Fl 201 and Fl 202), which includes training, hiring, and scheduling of work study students and may guide instructional students. The percentages below are meant to represent an average breakdown of duties over the course of an academic year with overlap amongst duties. Actual duties performed will vary depending on departmental needs and the academic calendar. Each quarter may have a different breakdown depending on course offerings. Duties outside Photography are less demanding and can be accomplished in between Photo tasks.

This is a part-time, 10-month, cyclic, permanent position.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in subject area/photography and relevant experience
