What we’re looking for

Vacasa is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Sr. System Administrator - Planful to join our Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) team. In this role, you will be responsible for the administration, maintenance, and optimization of the Planful system, ensuring it supports the strategic goals of the FP&A team and the broader organization. You will work closely with the Director of Corporate FP&A to enhance financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and the planning processes.

What you'll do

  • System Administration:
    • Manage and maintain the Planful system, including user access, system configurations, and data integrations.
    • Ensure the system is operating effectively and efficiently, addressing any technical issues or glitches.
    • Develop and maintain security protocols, ensuring that sensitive financial data is protected.
  • Data Management and Integrity:
    • Oversee the data flow between Planful and other financial systems, ensuring data accuracy and consistency.
    • Perform regular data validation checks and troubleshoot any discrepancies or issues.
    • Manage metadata, hierarchies, and dimensionality within the Planful system.
  • Financial Planning and Analysis Support:
    • Collaborate with the FP&A team to develop and improve financial models within Planful.
    • Assist in the preparation and distribution of regular financial reports, forecasts, and budgets using the Planful platform.
    • Support scenario planning and ad-hoc analysis by configuring Planful to meet the needs of various stakeholders.
  • Process Improvement:
    • Identify opportunities for process enhancements within Planful to increase efficiency and accuracy of financial reporting and analysis.
    • Implement new Planful features and functionality as they become available, ensuring the FP&A team is utilizing the system to its full potential.
    • Provide recommendations for best practices in financial planning, reporting, and analysis.
  • Training and Support:
    • Serve as the primary point of contact for Planful-related inquiries and issues within the organization.
    • Develop and conduct training sessions for new users and ongoing education for existing users to ensure optimal use of the system.
    • Create and maintain user documentation and training materials.

Skills you'll need

  • Minimum three years of Financial System Administration Experience with a focus on FP&A Tools (preferably Planful)
  • Planful experience a plus but not required
  • Knowledge of Financial Statements and basic accounting
  • Data Visualization
  • Ability to work with large data sets
  • Knowledge and understanding of Snowflake, NetSuite and UKG a plus but not required
  • Understanding of FP&A function

Compensation:

  • $90700 - $145100 / year. Actual pay will vary based on a candidate's skill, experience, education and/or location.
