WHAT YOU WILL ACHIEVE
Direct and develop a cohesive team and program to consolidate, manage, and improve engineering-related facility, utility, and support services site-wide. Manage the Integrated Facility Management (IFM) service provider with responsibility for soft services (Janitorial, cafeteria, etc..), facilities maintenance, and utility operations and maintenance services. Oversee management and optimization of the site storerooms and MRO program to assure cost-effective, reliable supply of maintenance parts and operational supplies. Manage site office and facility planning efforts through effective management of site offices and occupancy targets. Coordinate the execution of other site services that are best managed in a centralized fashion. Bring all these programs and services under a common umbrella and manage them to achieve safe, reliable, cost-efficient delivery of services to the site.
HOW YOU WILL ACHIEVE IT
Day to day this position will involve managing a team to deliver the varied services that support operations and maintenance. It includes working with senior leadership at the site as well as above site, as well as multiple service providers to prioritize work and achieve desired quality/service levels, determining and satisfying the needs of internal Pfizer customers, administering the contract terms, managing the work to a budget, and promoting a culture of safe, compliant work.
Long-term it will involve governing the programs and interfacing with Global Engineering and Global Procurement, managing KPIs and adjusting the programs to achieve continuous savings at consistent service levels, planning to a long-term vision of what services should be included, lifecycle maintenance of assets, and development of the people and processes that make the programs succeed.
Site services role includes: Janitorial, Grounds, Pest Control, Waste, Food, Mail, Office Space, Uniforms, Facility Infrastructure, Paving, Roofing, Building Exterior, Electrical, Plumbing, Elevators, Automatic Doors, Hoists, Pressure Relief Devices, Security Equipment, Life Safety Equipment, Motor Pool, Powered Industrial Vehicles, Calibration Standards, Analytical Instrumentation, Building Automation Systems, Utility Operations (Steam, Water, Air), Utility Maintenance, HVACR, Lab Hoods, Storeroom, & MRO. Additional services include office and facility planning to ensure sufficient an optimized office space for colleagues and contractors supporting the site.
QUALIFICATIONS
Must-Have
Applicant must have a bachelor's degree with at least 5 years of experience; OR a master's degree with at least 3 years of experience; OR a PhD with 0+ years of experience; OR as associate's degree with 8 years of experience; OR a high school diploma (or equivalent) and 10 years of relevant experience.
Experience in a Facilities, Maintenance, Project or Plant Engineering role.
Experience in large facility and campus facility management and maintenance of buildings, building equipment and infrastructure.
Demonstrated ability to interact effectively with colleagues at all levels of an organization.
Demonstrated ability to interact effectively with contract service partners.
Effective written and verbal communication skills.
Strong Computer Skills: Microsoft Excel, Word, and Power Point.
Nice-to-Have
Extensive facilities experience in an IFM setting.
Experience in a pharmaceutical manufacturing environment.
Certified Facility Manager (CFM – IFMA), CEM, PE.
PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS
The work environment ranges from office to anywhere in the plant, on campus and frequently outdoors. Colleague is frequently exposed to airborne particles and must work near moving mechanical parts. Colleague will be expected to access multiple levels of the facility areas which entail use of stairways and ladders. The noise level in some of the work environments is loud. Use of hearing, eye, hand and foot protection is required. Personal Protective Equipment applicable to the task must be worn at all times and is a condition of employment.
