As Robotics Engineering Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining specific tools on a Media manufacturing line in a class 100 cleanroom environment. The successful candidate will be able to work with minimal supervision, take initiative and collaborate effectively; they will demonstrate a willingness to learn, flexibility, creative problem solving, exemplary communication skills and an ability to think on their feet. Candidates must be flexible to work a 8 hour Shift Monday to Friday and overtime, as required by the team.
 
 ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Perform routine preventive maintenance per schedule and MMM (Manufacturing Maintenance Manual) procedures for assigned tool set.
  • Identifying the purposes and goals of robotic applications or machines in Media development.

    • Creating prototypes based on early designs.

    • Performing quality control and function tests to gauge performance.

    • Determining the causes of malfunctions and errors.

    • Adhering to developing timelines and budgetary guidelines through all stages of the design process.

    • Monitoring the performances of newly deployed applications and machines.

    • Writing reports, usage instructions and maintenance guidelines for robotics systems.

     

Qualifications

Requirement: Bachelor’s or AA degree in Robotic engineering, computer science or a similar field. Individuals who are a Certified Motion Control Professional, Certified Robot Integrator, Certified System Integrator or Certified Vision Professional from the Association for Advancing Automation may also be quality candidates. 3 to 5 years of experience working with Adept and Epson robots in a manufacturing environment 

 

• Proficiency in computer-aided drafting and manufacturing (CAD/CAM) software used to create system designs.

• Expertise in using tools such as welding and soldering equipment to make prototypes

• In-depth knowledge of computer science, machine learning, mathematics, physics and mechanics

• Analytical skills to develop designs and interpret test results

• Problem-solving skills to identify problems and uncover solutions while troubleshooting

• Strong oral and written communications to explain complex terms to individuals who lack expertise and compose clear manuals and instructions

• Time management skills to reach design process milestones within given timelines

Designs and develops robotic prototypes. Constructs, configures, tests, and debugs robots and robotic systems. Installs, operates, calibrates, and maintains Adept and Epson robots. Ensures that robotic machines operate safely, dependably, and with precision; identifies and implements modifications.
