Senior Blockchain Engineer, fluent in English

<p>We currently have a vacancy for a <strong>R&amp;D </strong><strong>Blockchain Engineer</strong><strong>, </strong>fluent in English,to offer his/her services as an expert based in Athens, Greece or Luxembourg, working remotely. You will be expected to show initiative, be flexible and take responsibility.</p><p><strong>Tasks</strong></p><ul> <li>Management and implementation of EC funded IT projects; Contribute to shape and develop the Next Generation Internet vision and blockchain technologies in EC;</li> <li>Work alongside a superb community of top-class researchers in EU and mentor their development for a variety of applications Software Engineers, Offensive Security Engineers, Cryptographers, Protocol Designers, etc;</li> <li>Elaboration of the full suite of document deliverables and reports for R&amp;D projects and business development activities (requirements, conceptual models, specifications, implementation and integration plans, etc.);</li> <li>Design, development, and documentation of new blockchain applications and infrastructures to be offered as backbone to the projects under implementation, including smart contracts, digital wallets, and secure data sharing marketplaces;</li> <li>Design and implement new projects and concept and new business and governance models around blockchain tools and technologies including DAO;</li> <li>Serve as a think tank for all product and engineering concerns;</li> <li>Experience in management the entire software lifecycle, from design to launch to continuing availability. </li> </ul><p><strong>Requirements</strong></p><ul> <li>University degree in Computer science with background in Computer science, Data and AI engineering, preferably with postgraduate qualification at PhD level, focusing on blockchain;</li> <li>Hands-on knowledge in blockchain technologies, protocols, applications and crypto industries, including Ethereum, decentralised architectures, AI , cloud and fog computing;</li> <li>Solid technical background with understanding of information security and cryptography;</li> <li>Ideally 2 years’ experience in National or European research programmes in ICT;</li> <li>Experience and strong background in software design and development, software development lifecycle and ICT project management; in crypto wallets and associated use cases;</li> <li>Documented experience of created or contributed to a decentralized app or protocol;</li> <li>Hands-on experience and willingness to contribute to open source projects and open source governance models including DAO;</li> <li>Excellent command of English and Greek, both written and oral;</li> <li>Good interpersonal, organization and communication skills, with the ability to work in a diverse team environment;</li> <li>Good analytical skills, as well as a proactive attitude towards solving problems.</li> </ul><p><strong>Extra skills that will be considered as an advantage are:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Experience in designing H2020 proposals and coordinating or implementing relevant projects.</li> </ul><p><strong>Benefits</strong></p><p>As a <strong>R&amp;D Blockchain Engineer fluent in English</strong> you will be integrated into a friendly team and work closely with the developers and the business analysts to deliver high-quality applications.
