Position Summary

The Early Lung Cancer Screening Program Manager/Nurse Navigator utilizes a defined and proven set of steps to ensure the proper follow up of CT screening examinations and diagnostic testing is completed on time.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Assists the Medical Program Manager with management and supervision of ELCD administrative team.
  • Assists with staff assignments and the delegation of duties.
  • Provides quality review of their work and assesses individual progress in role.
  • Partners with Manager to complete annual performance review of ELCD staff.
• Acts as Nurse Navigator for ELCD program
  • Identifies participants eligible for lung cancer screening
  • Review CT reports, enters Lung Rads QDRS and S findings
  • Prepare LDCT results and records to be reviewed at Multidisciplinary Conference
  • Construct results letter and send to Medical Director for approval
  • Determine follow up, coordination and referral needs based off ACR Lung Rads.
  • Communicate abnormal lung screening results to patients and explain further testing, when required and assists with referrals and coordination of care
  • Perform the processes for data collection, reporting and tracking of lung cancer screening metrics
  • May assist with scheduling low dose CT's
  • Possible public speaking and lung cancer screening presentations
• Assists with expansion and set up of new CT Providers
• Provides input to Medical Director on policies and procedures.
• Participates and provides input to research and studies associated with the CT program.

Minimum Qualifications

• Current RN License
• Supervisory experience of clinical staff
• Proficiency with MS Office tools and applications.
• Experience in Care Coordination or Navigator with Lung Cancer Screening highly desired
