Who You Are:
We are looking for a Network and Systems Engineering Manager with strong background in high performance computing in hybrid environments, as well as configuration and inventory management. This role is responsible for all physical and virtual servers, SAN, and the systems to support them.
What You’ll Do:
- Lead and Manage Network and Systems engineering teams.
- Engage with other Teams and Business units across Galaxy to understand and fulfill their needs.
- Develop and Enforce Policies/Procedures that enhance stability, reduce turn around times.
- Ensure team is constantly engaging in professional development and learning about the latest developments and technologies in their respective disciplines.
- Drive teams to provide better network and system observability to internal customers (SLA Dashboards, etc…).
- Use Agile methodology to ensure good project planning, predictable outcomes, and when needed to provide customers the trade-offs between competing priorities (so that they can make better decisions).
- Continue to hire and further develop Network and Systems teams, with an eye towards building self-organizing teams.
What We’re Looking For:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer engineering or related field.
- Must have 15+ years of combined experience in the following capacities:

- Experience as either a Network or Systems Engineer.
- Experience Leading/Managing individual contributors (5+ years preferred).
- Experience directly Leading/Managing Individual contributors (Line management).
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work effectively under pressure, maintaining a focus on delivering on time, without sacrificing quality.
- Confidence in making informed decisions and providing clear direction to the team, ensuring alignment with organization goals.
- Solid understanding of Networking concepts.
- Solid understanding of Linux (Ideally Ubuntu).
- Understanding of iterative development processes.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills (Including, but not limited to):
- Demonstrated ability to persuade and negotiate with team members, stakeholders and vendors to achieve desired outcomes and drive project success.
- Experience in managing and resolving conflicts, ensuring a positive and productive working atmosphere.
