Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Qualified Fire Protection Engineer (QFPE) to join our team.  In this critical role, you will be responsible for overseeing the design, implementation, and maintenance of fire protection systems for various projects, ensuring the highest standards of safety and compliance.

• Work with system administrator and cybersecurity analysts on integrating security into overall engineering efforts.
• Responsible for engineering analysis and tradeoffs made at the system level
• Lead and manage a team providing technical guidance and mentorship
• Develop comprehensive strategies and designs for complex projects
• Conduct risk assessments and fire hazard analyses to identify potential safety issues
• Develop and implement quality control procedures
• Stay current with emerging technologies and industry best practices

Qualifications

• Active Secret Clearance
• Five (5) years experience in the Fire Protection engineering field
• Bachelor's degree or  Ten (10) Years experience in lieu of degree
• Licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.), who has passed the fire protection engineering written examination administered by the National Council of Examiners for Engineering and Surveying (NCEES) and has relevant fire protection engineering experience.
• Proficiency in fire modeling software and CAD programs
• Strong project management skills with the ability to lead multiple projects simultaneously
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders
• Proven track record of successful project delivery and team leadership
• Ability to analyze complex problems and develop innovative solutions
• Willingness to travel occasionally to project sites as needed
