THE JOB:
As a Security Assistant Shift Manager, you’ll lead and oversee the team during your assigned shift, ensuring operations run smoothly and efficiently. You’ll make sure the team meets performance expectations while fostering a safe, secure corporate environment for both employees and visitors. This role requires maintaining compliance with company policies, gaming regulations, and state laws — all while supporting an exceptional employee and visitor experience.
THE DAY-TO-DAY:
Lead and Manage the Team: Oversee security officers, support staff, and department operations — including interviewing, hiring, scheduling, training, performance evaluations, and enforcing policies through coaching and discipline when needed. Ensure proper staffing, work assignments, and station coverage to maintain smooth operations.
Ensure Safety and Compliance: Promote a safe and secure environment for guests and employees by enforcing company policies and adhering to state, local, and regulatory requirements.
Coordinate with External Agencies: Serve as the key point of contact with outside agencies during security incidents, ensuring smooth communication and collaboration.
Support and Oversee Investigations: Assist management with onsite investigations and, when necessary, take the lead on coordinating and supervising these efforts.
Monitor Security Operations: Oversee security-related processes to ensure efficiency and accuracy.
Deliver Exceptional Service: Respond promptly to inquiries and concerns — resolving issues directly or collaborating with the appropriate teams to provide timely solutions.
Respond to Emergencies: Act quickly during guest or employee emergencies, manage reported threats, document incidents, and ensure proper escalation for thorough reporting and resolution.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:
2+ Years of Prior Relevant Direct security experience in a high-end resort/casino environment or law enforcement and/or military experience, with previous supervisory experience or in a team leader capacity required
Ability to work varied shifts, to include weekends and holidays is required.
High School Diploma, GED or equivalent required.
Proven ability to lead teams, maintain professionalism, and handle challenging situations with confidence.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively — both verbally and in writing.
Skilled in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and comfortable using office equipment like phones, copiers, and fax machines.
Experience creating detailed, accurate, and professional investigative reports.
