In this project, you will explore an evidence-based approach to certification rather than utilizing traditional process-based approaches to certification. Utilizing an evidence-based approach focuses on the outcome (a safe, reliable system) rather than processes, uses objective data, testing, analysis, and assurance cases, ensures compliance with safety and operational criteria, and builds regulatory credibility through demonstrable assurance. This methodology offers clear advantages over traditional process-based approaches by focusing on outcomes - not activities, providing greater flexibility and innovation, encourages the use of advanced engineering technologies, is scalable, and is better for auditing and oversight.

What You Will Do:

• Learn about traditional software and systems certification 
• Explore ways to enable results-based certification
• Collaborate with experienced software, systems, and certification engineers 

What You Will Learn:

• How to certify software and systems currently
• How to leverage new methodologies to certify software and systems
• How to collaborate with peers to achieve a common goal 

Qualifications You Must Have:

• Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and student must be pursuing a Bachelor’s or advanced degree in an applicable discipline.

Qualifications We Prefer:

• Pursuing a degree in software engineering or computer science
