As a Janitor at Didlake, you play a critical role in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for all employees and visitors. Your work ensures that offices, commercial spaces, and facilities are orderly, sanitary, and presentable, contributing directly to the efficiency and comfort of the workplace. 

What You Will Do  

  • Clean and maintain work areas, restrooms, and common spaces in offices or other establishments. 
  • Sweep, scrub, wax, and polish floors using brooms, mops, and powered machines. 
  • Vacuum rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture, and draperies. 
  • Dust and polish furniture, equipment, fixtures, and metalwork. 
  • Wash walls, ceilings, woodwork, windows, door panels, and sills. 
  • Empty wastebaskets, ashtrays, and transport trash to disposal areas. 
  • Replenish restroom supplies and maintain clean restroom fixtures, floors, and walls. 
  • Follow safety standards and procedures when using equipment and performing tasks. 
  • Report maintenance issues or damage to your supervisor and requisition supplies as needed. 
  • Collaborate with your team and demonstrate positive conduct and professionalism. 
  • Complete required training and perform other duties as assigned. 
Qualifications

What You Bring  

Education & Experience 

  • High School diploma or GED, or six (6) months of custodial experience. 
  • United States citizenship. 
  • Ability to obtain and maintain required credentials/background checks. 
  • Must have a valid Real Id for access to the work site. 

 

Skills & Abilities 

  • Ability to follow simple, detailed oral instructions. 
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills. 
  • Ability to interact respectfully and effectively with co-workers, including individuals with disabilities. 
  • Commitment to quality work, safety, and professionalism.
