We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our Fintech team and help us deliver a seamless and personalized ordering experience for our users. We are a team of energetic, motivated, and restless tech enthusiasts who take on the challenge of empowering our customers and internal users. We do that by providing them with the necessary intuitive technologies through creating a wide range of software solutions.

About the role:

• Deliver high-quality software responsible for serving hundreds of thousands of requests per minute.

• Investigate new technologies and strategies to help our services scale to larger data sets and quicker speeds into the future.

• Work closely with Product Owners, Developers, DevOps engineers, and Tech leads as part of an agile team, to build reliable systems and exceed stakeholders' expectations.

• Participate in code reviews.

• Practice modern software development methodologies and agile processes.

• Experiment with new frameworks and technologies and learn continuously.

Key Requirements:

• University and/or Postgraduate Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent.

• At least 5 years of working experience in microservices development.

• Profound understanding of concurrency principles, adept in managing complex, stateful interactions in a highly concurrent environment. While our core codebase is in Go, we recognize the value of diverse experiences in programming languages that prioritize safe, efficient concurrency practices. Ideal candidates will possess:

  • Expertise in one or more programming languages renowned for their concurrency features, such as Go, Rust, Erlang/Elixir, Scala, Java, or modern C++.

  • A deep understanding of synchronization techniques, mutexes, semaphores, and concurrent data structures.

  • Experience in designing and implementing robust, scalable systems that effectively manage shared resources across multiple threads or processes.

  • A keen interest in solving complex problems where concurrent operations and data integrity are critical.

• Knowledge of relational and non-relational database systems (e.g. MongoDB, Redis, Postgres).

• Familiarity with SOLID principles and software design patterns.

• Experience consuming and developing REST APIs.

• Excellent eye for detail and a self-motivated problem solver.

• Superior analytical skills and a strong sense of urgency and ownership in your work.

• Ability to get up to speed with new systems and concepts quickly.

• Keen to constantly learn and improve your skills, and not afraid to jump into new things.

• Strong communication and collaboration skills (English is a must).

Nice to have:

• Familiarity with at least one major cloud services provider (experience with AWS is a plus).

• Experience working in an Agile team.

• Involvement with open-source projects is a plus.

• Experience with Python and Node.js

• Experience with React or other front end frameworks

• Experience with Typescript
