Job Duties

The Virginia Department of Motor Vehicles is hiring for a System Support Specialist for a position with its Systems Support Division in Richmond, Virginia.

The Systems Support Specialist is responsible for administrating third level Help Desk functions to assist all areas of DMV with transaction and processing issues. The incumbent will research problems, document requirements, and write issue logs when the issue being handled is training or system issue. This position will serve as an essential part in DMV's DL9 and OnBase based Landing Zone request handling via Customer Service Management Administration and the HQ Work Units requesting assistance in everyday DMV processes.

The Virginia Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV), headquartered in Richmond, Virginia, serves approximately 6.2 million licensed drivers and ID card holders with over 8.4 million registered vehicles. Minimum Qualifications

• Experience consulting with business users to determine software and functional specifications.
• Knowledge of research and evaluation techniques.
• Experienced in troubleshooting problems and performing in-depth analysis to recreate the problem and provide solutions.
• Ability to create process documents.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing and to make effective presentations.

Additional Considerations

• Working knowledge of the Department of Motor Vehicle's business functions, transactions, policies, CSMA operations and automated systems.
