Overall Purpose
The VP, Near Field Communication (NFC) Product is a critical leadership role responsible for defining the future of our NFC offerings, ensuring they meet market needs, and contribute significantly to the company's overall growth and success. The VP is a visionary leader who uses their deep understanding of NFC technology and market trends to define the strategy and direction for EWS’ NFC related products.
Essential Functions
Strategic Leadership: Develops and executes the overall NFC product strategy, aligning with the company's broader business objectives. Identifies market opportunities, analyzes competitive landscapes, and defines target customer segments.
Product Vision & Roadmap: Defines and champions the product vision, roadmap, and feature prioritization for all NFC-related products. Collaborates with engineering, marketing, and sales teams to ensure alignment and effective execution.
Product Development Lifecycle Management: Oversees the entire product lifecycle from ideation, concept development, requirements gathering, design, development, testing, launch, and post-launch support.
Team Leadership & Mentorship: Leads, manages, and mentors a high-performing team of product managers, engineers, and other relevant personnel. Fosters a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Market Analysis & Competitive Intelligence: Conducts thorough market research and competitive analysis to identify emerging trends, customer needs, and potential opportunities. Stays abreast of the latest advancements in NFC technology and its applications.
Go-to-Market Strategy: Develops and executes go-to-market strategies for new NFC products, including pricing, positioning, messaging, and sales enablement.
Financial Management: Manages the budget and resources allocated to the NFC product portfolio. Monitors product performance, track key metrics, and ensure profitability.
Stakeholder Management: Effectively communicates the NFC product strategy and roadmap to key stakeholders, including executive leadership, investors, and partners.
Partnership Development: Identifies and develops strategic partnerships with key players in the NFC ecosystem, including technology providers, hardware manufacturers, and application developers.
Innovation & Thought Leadership: Acts as a thought leader in the NFC space, contributing to industry discussions and promoting the company's expertise and innovation.
Risk Management: Supports the company’s commitment to protect the integrity and confidentiality of systems and data.
Minimum Qualifications
Education and/or experience typically obtained through completion of bachelor’s degree
15 or more years of related NFC work experience with a proven track record of bringing successful products to market.
Demonstrated experience in design thinking and agile development process and methodology.
Demonstrated leadership experience and cross functional collaboration experience including direct management.
Proven experience in and passion for building and delivering great products.
Demonstrated success in hiring, developing and retaining highly engaged, high performing teams and aligning talent to meet business objectives.
Demonstrated experience in setting a product strategy, roadmap and in meeting product revenue targets.
Demonstrated experience driving alignment at the executive and client leadership level.
Excellent listening and execution skills.
Background and drug screen.
Preferred Qualifications
Master’s degree.
Certifications in design thinking and/or agile.
