Our products are more affordable and more sustainable than their dairy equivalents. </span><span> </span></p> <p> </p> <p></p><p></p> <p>Location: Wageningen</p> <p>Hybrid<br/><br/></p> <p><strong>About the position</strong></p> <p>You’ll work form our Wageningen Food Science Centre, with State-of-the-Art professional application kitchen, where innovations are designed and tested in the labs and pilot-plant.</p> <p>As our Product Development Technologist, you will:</p> <ul> <li>Lead lab and pilot plant trials to test and refine plant-based and dairy cheese formulations.</li> <li>Collaborate with food scientists and technicians to conduct experiments and gather data.</li> <li>Analyze trial results to optimize ingredient ratios, texture, and flavour profiles.</li> <li>Scale up successful formulations from lab to pilot plant for larger-scale production testing.</li> <li>Compile data on formulation development, sensory evaluations, production trials, and market analysis and prepare comprehensive information and reports for stage-gate review meetings.</li> <li>Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate product development processes into broader business processes and align product development goals with company strategies and objectives.</li> <li>Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and effectiveness across all stages of product development and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards throughout the development process.</li> <li>Travel for workshops, supplier visits and scale up trials in the factory.</li> </ul> <p><strong>So what does it take to be successful in this role?  </strong></p> <p>You have a strong expertise and experience in a similar role in the food business (preferably plant cheese or dairy experience in an FMCG business), therefore you have great project management skills. You are passionate about innovating, renovating  cheese and improving the general characteristics. You are very proactive, and you strive in a fast-changing environment with can do attitude. You can work with shifting priorities and tight deadlines. You manage multiple stakeholders at a time, and you can work closely with many different audiences.
