As a Security Professional - Tech Screener in Baltimore, MD, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom and more .

As a Screener with Allied Universal in a dynamic tech, media, and telecom environment, you will play a key role in helping to maintain a secure and welcoming atmosphere for all visitors and personnel. Your responsibilities will include monitoring entry points, conducting security-related screenings, and utilizing technology such as computers or tablets to support your duties. What You’ll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Screen individuals entering the location to help to deter unauthorized access and/or prohibited items.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verifying credentials and/or identification as required by site protocols.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with visitors, employees, and/or delivery personnel regarding access procedures.
• Document and report any unusual activity, incidents, or security-related concerns according to site guidelines.
• Collaborate with Allied Universal team members and site personnel to maintain a secure environment.

Minimum Requirements:

• Must have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• X-ray screening experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
