Full Time, 2nd shift

Wage $19.50/per hr starting wage

These are a few of the things a DSP will do:

• Provide training and assistance to the people who receive services in order to help them develop and/or improve independent living skills such as cooking, housekeeping, laundry skills, grocery shopping, etc.
• Provide assistance and training to people who receive services to assist them in developing and/or improving personal care skills; i.e. showering, tooth brushing, toileting, bathing, etc.
• Providing training in money management such as budgeting, banking and making appropriate purchases.
• Administering medications and documentation according to OPWDD and agency procedure.
• Completing documention on the computer according to OPWDD and agency procedure.
• Accompanying people who live in the homes to the grocery stores and other stores for on-site training in purchasing.
• Transporting people who receive services and assisting with appointments, recreational and/or other activities as needed.

Requirements

• High School Graduate or GED
• A valid driver’s license and good driving record acceptable to the Agency’s insurance carrier.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds and not have any lifting restrictions which would prohibit assisting with toileting, transfers, physical intervention, lifting, etc.
