CORE ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
Uphold standards of behavior as defined by the company's Core Values, Code of Conduct, and Operational Guidelines.
Acquire and book repertory and specialty content for company-owned, company-managed, and franchise locations.
Work with the Director and department lead to pursue weekly sales opportunities and review past performance, with a focus on Monday scheduling.
Maintain and develop relationships with content holders, other programmers, and creatives.
Contribute to all ideation, planning, and execution of Repertory, Alternative, and Event programming.
Own the workflow for national, regional, and local programming, ensuring that on-sale deadlines are met.
Assist the Director on special projects, including devising runs of shows and ensuring deliverables of screening materials.
Coordinate weekly trailering and print traffic with the Presentation and Video teams.
Consistently watch screeners, attend promotional screenings, and be available for seasonal conferences and festivals.
Coordinate with franchise partners and venue teams to ensure proper execution of specialty content.
Stay current on trends in film, media, and popular culture with an aim towards making sure that Alamo Drafthouse drives the conversation forward.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree in Film, Art, or related field; or equivalent experience
3+ years of experience in film booking, programming, or content acquisition, with a focus on repertory or specialty content
Deep knowledge of film history and exhibition, festival, or operational experience is a bonus.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Lifting and moving up to 30lbs.
Sitting for long periods of time
Continuous use of Keyboard and mouse (fine motor skills) & monitor/screens (visual focus)
