JOB DESCRIPTION

We are seeking a Security Officer to join our team at Baptist Health Hardin. In this role, you will be responsible for contributing to maintain a safe secure environment within the healthcare facility. You will conduct regular patrols, monitor surveillance, respond to emergencies, and facilitate conflict resolution

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Reports out-of-the ordinary activity in and around the hospital/grounds 

• Respond to security and safety related emergencies 

• Conducts investigations and completes reports

• Provides security escorts as needed

• Excellent customer service toward patients, families, and employees

REQUIREMENTS

• High School diploma or equivalent

• Valid KY driver's license with satisfactory driving record defined by BHH policy

• BLS cert within 90 days of hire

• Nonviolent Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) training, required 30 days of hire

• Crisis Situation Management (CSM) required 90 days of hire

• Hazardous Materials first receiver cert required 90 days of hire

• Able to pass the Taser X26P course required 6 months of hire

• Able to pass Handcuff training course required 6 months of hire

• Good organizational, oral and written communication skills

• Basic computer skills

• Ability to work well with others and present a professional appearance

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS

• Minimum of 1 year security exp preferred

• IAHSS Basic cert preferred
