JOB SUMMARY

Assist the Head Coach with recruiting, scouting and practice planning.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform competition day duties as assigned, and monitor equipment inventory and care.

• Assist with practice and competition day management and activities

• Assist with organizational planning (travel, community service, study hall, etc.), and support player development and assist with roster management.

• Help with the planning and organization of camps and clinics.

OTHER DUTIES AND ASSIGNMENTS

• Know and comply with all NCAA rules and regulations, and pass the NCAA Coaches Certification Exam annually if you will be recruiting off campus

• CPR Certification is preferred

• Provide positive leadership for student-athletes.

• Performs other duties as assigned.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Education: Bachelor’s degree, master’s degree preferred.

Experience:1 to 3 years of softball experience.

Licenses or Certifications: CPR and First Aid certified is preferred

Financial Responsibility: None

Supervision: None

Special Knowledge: Know and comply with all NCAA rules and regulations, and pass the NCAA Coaches Certification Exam annually.

SPECIAL WORKING CONDITIONS

Ability to travel; heavy lifting required (50 pounds and over); may be required to work when the University is closed.

Ability to work nights, weekends, and some holidays
