In this role the Junior Product owner is responsible for making sure that the Darktrace PREVENT/Attack Surface Management™ (ASM) product roadmap gets executed as efficiently as possible. This position is really at the heart of the ASM product and is vital for the implementation of new features within this product.
The Junior Product Owner will report to the ASM Product Owner.
The role is part of the Product Management team in The Hague but will have strong links to the Cambridge Product teams and to the ASM Development teams in the Hague.
This is a hybrid role, with the expectations of 2 days a week in The Hague office.
Responsibilities:
- Assist Product Management in translating long-term vision into a short-term roadmap/backlog.
- Manage the development backlog and make sure that all tickets have clear requirements, context, and the appropriate priority.
- Support estimations of the required time, resources & cost to develop the backlog.
- Drive planning, refining, and prioritizing the product backlog.
- Work with the technical teams to engage them with customer and business needs through the product journey, in coordination with the head of DevOps.
- Ensure on time and on specification delivery. Engage stakeholders on product development process.
- Organizing Release planning and ensuring contributors are meeting deadlines, feel comfortable to need to chase developers.
- Support product management in identifying often reported issues, or often requested feature requests to ensure these will reflect back into the roadmap.
- Demo and celebrate new features, products and improvements together with the teams.
- Refine complex projects into milestones and iterate on them.
- Gathering and sharing feedback about specific needs (feature requests) by communicating with stakeholders on a regular basis to manage their expectations and using this information to improve the products.
- Understanding product usage and product adoption.
- Supporting marketing by sharing product highlights to further show the power of the platform to the outside world.
- Do user-research, gather requirements, and write epics and stories with acceptance criteria.
- Work with stakeholders to realize improvements in the development process.
- Ensure that the internal training- and documentation teams produce the relevant product documentation to support end users, partners, sales, marketing and internal teams.
Candidate Requirements:
- Minimum HBO (in The Netherlands, or equivalent) /academic background. (Essential)
- Fluent in English. (Essential)
- Project management experience. (not necessarily in a professional setting) (Essential)
- Affinity with designing and refining use case models. (Essential)
- Understanding of industry standard technology used in SaaS solutions. (Essential)
- Affinity with the IT industry. (Desirable)
- Affinity with the cybersecurity domain and Internet Protocols such as DNS and HTTP. (Desirable)
- Cybersecurity knowledge. (Desirable)
- Knowledge of Agile/SCRUM processes and tooling. (Desirable)
