We are currently seeking a Software Developer to join our team. In this role you will be a change agent by working on the TFM2 contract. TFM2 provides modernization and life cycle support of Information Technology infrastructure that host national implementation of the FAA's Traffic Flow Management (TFM) functionality. It also focuses on long term engineering services and the development of new functional enhancements that increase the capability of Traffic Flow Management.
Responsibilities Include:
- Support Senior level Software Engineers and developers in designing J2EE software using object-oriented design patterns
- Designs, develops, documents, tests and debugs applications software and systems that contain logical and mathematical solutions.
- Develop Java/J2EE applications to solve highly complex technical problems
- Develop test harnesses to support software testing
- Provide software support for a real-time air traffic management system
- Debug software problems and provide solutions
- Support development of software requirements
- Ensures software standards are met
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or related field is preferred (or equivalent with the degree / cert requirement) + 2 (two) years related experience
Qualifications:
- Experience using Java /J2EE applications
- Familiar with C/C++
- Familiar with the software life cycle
- Knowledge of SQL, XML and experience with databases
- Demonstrate strength in solving complex problems
- Interpersonal skills to interact with team members and customer
- Flexible with schedule
- Dependable
