Sales Engineer (Pacific Northwest)

This position is a technical role supporting the sales activities of our Customer Development (existing Mimecast accounts) sales team.

What you’ll do:

Support the Customer Development sales team with technical expertise and sales skills and provide technical guidance to customers and partners, ensuring understanding and overcoming objections to Mimecast services.

• Technical qualification of opportunities and product recommendations
• Conduct dynamic product presentations to various stakeholders
• Develop consultative relationships to become a trusted technical advisor
• Run Proof of Concepts (POCs) and respond to RFPs/RFIs
• Collaborate with Sales and Customer Success teams
• Train and support partners, ensuring capability in selling Mimecast services
• Provide feedback to internal stakeholders for product enhancement
• Discuss competitive advantages of Mimecast's Product Suite

What you’ll need:

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent technical experience preferred, but not required
• Effective communication of technical solutions to non-technical audience
• Proactive, self-sufficient, and adaptable
• Experience in consultative selling and working with demanding business customers
• Familiarity with networking, security technologies, and email systems
• Ability to travel occasionally (less than 3 times per quarter)

The US base salary range for this position is 72,000 - 154,000.00 base + incentive plan + benefits. This reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for this position. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level and location. These factors and individual capabilities will also determine the individual pay offered.
