Job SummaryManager, Maintenance – Edgewater Generating Station (Sheboygan, WI)
We’re seeking a strategic and safety-focused Manager of Maintenance to lead all maintenance operations at our Edgewater Generating Station, a 400MW coal-fired facility with plans to transition to natural gas. This leadership role is responsible for planning, directing, and executing all assigned maintenance activities in a safe, environmentally responsible, and cost-effective manner. This position serves as a member of a plant's management team.

- Responsible for developing, implementing, maintaining, monitoring, and improving maintenance activities in a generating plant environment.
- Responsible for the overall management and supervision of maintenance activities including ensuring the effective implementation of maintenance strategies, policies, and procedures to support the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of the plant.
- Accountable for developing and implementing comprehensive long and short-range maintenance plans. These plans involve analyzing equipment performance, identifying maintenance needs, scheduling preventive and corrective maintenance activities and coordinating with other departments to optimize plant availability and minimize downtime.
- Overall responsibility for work order management. Provide guidance and assistance to employees in preparing maintenance work requests. Review Work Orders for completeness and accuracy and ensure proper utilization of work management system.
- Collaborates closely with other departments, such as operations, engineering, procurement, and finance, to ensure seamless coordination and communication. This includes participating in cross-functional meetings, sharing information, addressing operational challenges, and supporting the overall goals of the power plant.
- Prepare, recommend, and monitor maintenance budget and assist in planning capital budgets to ensure adequate funds for mechanical, electrical, control, and instrument maintenance requirements on an annual and 5-year basis.
- Directly participates in the development of plant specific goals and objectives.
- Assists in overall budget planning for the plant and takes responsibility for developing, implementing, and explaining variances of the maintenance budget plan.
- Engages in other duties as needed that support Alliant Energy’s Values and helps deliver on our Purpose to serve customers and build stronger communities.
- Bachelor's Degree Preferred
Required Experience
- 5 years of related experience
- 3 years supervisory experience or equivalent.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Working knowledge of process controls (Provox, Mark V, etc.) preferred. Demonstrated effective leadership skills.
- Demonstrated financial skills such as budgeting and basic accounting.
- Demonstrated effective interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to use computer software programs (e.g., e-mail, word processing, spreadsheet, and project management).
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative and inclusive work environment.
