Job Duties

The Virginia Information Technologies Agency (VITA) is excited to offer a competitive opportunity to serve as a Virginian Identity Management Lead with the Enterprise Solutions Division.

The purpose of this position is to manage delivery for the Virginian Identity solution which is in the Enterprise Solutions directorate. This position responsible for developing and promoting the Virginian Identity solution.

The postion will utilize ITIL and other principles to gather requirements, identify customer demand and develop the solution that leverages the existing expertise and infrastructure. Identify opportunities for to revise the solution. Develop and implement processes to ensure the solution is delivered to customers in an efficient and effective manner. Provide strategic direction for delivery of the Virginian Identity solution.

The position will ensure the solution aligns with evolving customer needs and compliance requirements.The position will be responsible for working with customers and vendors to identify opportunities and ensure consistent delivery.

Minimum Qualifications

Demonstrated service management skills.

Knowledge and experience with identity management tools.

Knowledge and experience with single sign-on tools.

Understanding of best practices in service management including contract and vendor management.

Proven ability to manage delivery of the solution with Service and Operational Level Agreements.

Demonstrated ability to adequately plan and meet delivery objectives and maintain adequate service levels in a highly dynamic, complex environment.

Excellent verbal and writing skills, along with the ability to develop and effectively communicate complex technology concepts and materials to a diverse variety of audiences (both technical and non-technical) at all levels within the organization.

Experienced in creating and managing budgets.

Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain good customer working relationships.

Demonstrated ability to work with all levels of management, customers, and vendors.

Understanding of outsourcing contracts and the service delivery management implications.

Project management experience with multiple enterprise level project implementations.

Experience in enterprise security and maintaining compliance per security standards.

Experience with Client/Stakeholder management and preparation of proposal/technical presentations is required.

Additional Considerations

Previous service delivery experience.

ITIL certification

College degree in Information Technology or an associated discipline.

Experience in the State and Local government managed services.

Knowledge of Information Technology security standards such as SEC501, SEC525, and NIST.
