Position Overview

Shaw Industries is looking for a Regional Operations Manager to supervise and provide direction for the efficient daily operations for the Regional Redistribution Service Center located in Albuquerque, NM.  This includes, but is not limited to, the functions of receiving, processing, shipping, storing, and delivery of floor covering and related materials, and the associates involved in these processes. This operation consists of 1st shift and a delivery area including New Mexico, Southern Colorado, and El Paso, TX.

Responsibilities 

• Responsible for 5 employees: a fleet of 3 drivers and 2 office/warehouse associates. 

• Must possess the ability to work closely with Sales and Customer Service in meeting customer demands.   

• Responsible for maintaining communication with the Directors of Regional Operations on the performance of the facility.  

• Ensure a safe work environment is provided for all associates to include compliance with all DOT requirements.  

• Be a motivator by assisting and empowering employees to achieve facility goals and implement improvement processes as directed. 

• Work to increase market saturation for Shaw Truck and negotiating freight rates with customers to secure new business ensuring all customer needs/concerns are met on a daily basis. 

• Ensure effective utilization of transportation equipment and personnel for the purpose of providing delivery and pick up service to customers. 

Qualifications 

• Four-year degree & 1+ yrs of distribution; or High School Diploma/GED & 3+ yrs of distribution management/supervisor experience. 

• Candidate must be willing and able to travel to regional warehouses located throughout the country. 

• The candidate must have good computer skills including but not limited to Excel, Word and other software programs.   

• Good communication skills, both verbal and written, required. Candidate must be organized with specific attention to detail. 

• Self-motivated and results oriented. 

• Preferred: Background in DOT Compliance issues 

• Preferred: Bilingual in Spanish
