Senior Application Developer

Your Mission

Traversals is looking for experienced Senior Application Developers with innovative problem-solving skills fueled by a desire to help design, build, and scale data-driven applications with our Software Defined Intelligence Architecture (SDIA).

The mission of a Senior Application Developer is to leverage the Software Defined Intelligence Architecture (SDIA) to design and build robust applications that empower users to integrate, enrich, and interact with diverse data sources. Senior Application Developers play a critical role in every phase of the product lifecycle, including conceptualization, gathering user feedback, strategic planning, data pipeline setup, ontology-driven dataset creation, web application design, prototyping, development, deployment, and ongoing iteration. The goal is to create innovative, data-driven solutions that meet the evolving analytical needs of users.

Technologies We Use

• Python for data processing, data analytics and machine learning.
• Typescript, React and Python for our application development.
• Microservices, Serverless, Kubernetes and Google Cloud Platform for running and scaling the system.
• State-of-the-art build tooling, e.g. Gradle, Terraform, Github and Github Actions.

Your Profile

• Over 2+ years of experience working with software development and Python as a programming language.
• Experience in data integration, ML/AI-based data enrichment and data pipeline development.
• Expertise in ontology-driven data modeling.
• Experience in web application development.
• Experience in API development with REST and GraphQL.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms and DevOps.
• Experience with automated testing. Knowledge of when and what to test.
• Interest in DevOps, not shy to reach out for terminal. You are willing to build software in a “You build it, you run it” manner. Ideally, experience with Docker and container orchestration solutions (Kubernetes).
• Proactive problem solver. You leave code and processes in a better shape than when you first encountered them.
• Passionate about working with talented teammates. Your heart beats for receiving and giving feedback, to grow both personally and as an engineer.
• Interest and passion to learn and experiment with new technologies.
• Deep understanding of agile principles and values.
• Very strong written and spoken English skills.
• Must be able to obtain and hold a German security clearance.
