Director, Logistics - Club Monaco & La Senza:

This position is responsible to move products, materials and other goods to ensure they are in the right place to meet customer demand, this includes shipping, warehousing and distribution ensuring an effective operation that supports the current and future requirements for Regent's biggest retail brands: Club Monaco & La Senza.

The position will assess the businesses via strategic review, seeking synergies and driving operational efficiencies thus identifying the right suppliers for inbound logistics and third-party warehousing operations.

The position works in partnership with the business units, managing the needs of Production, Sourcing, Merchandising, and Planning to bring product to market delivered in full and on time, triggering interventions where required, ensuring that the whole business is aligned around deliveries.

The role will develop strategic partnerships, maintain and enhance relationship with appointed 3PLs to build an agile and responsive Logistics infrastructure to support the growing ecommerce, retail and wholesale businesses – ensuring the logistics, warehousing and stock processes run smoothly and efficiently and with YOY improvements.

Responsibilities

  • Assess, design and implement inbound logistics flows and warehousing needs
  • Design optimisation of logistics flows and warehousing, ensuring greatest economies of scale and competitive pricing
  • Gather, analyse and present relevant data to leadership to guide the organisation's decision making in order to create, sustain and improve logistics network performance.
  • Responsible for overseeing the inbound receipt of merchandise to distribution centers and ensure on time delivery
  • Foster an excellent working relationship with external logistics partners to deliver on business requirements and commercial objectives
  • Move products, materials and other goods to ensure they are in the right place to meet customer demand, in line with operational requirements.
  • Responsible for ensuring inbound logistics, warehouse and distribution processes run smoothly.
  • Responsible for providing daily shipping approvals for consolidations in order to ensure the shipping mode & containerization are the most cost effective.
  • Manage the 3PL performance levels and costs, challenging supplier performance if it is outside of agreed service levels.
  • Develop dashboarding and reporting on logistics costs and performance – supporting the business with budgeting and cost management; inventory stock-takes.
  • Provide and act on storage and operational capacity outlooks using appropriate modelling tools to anticipate and meet longer term future business requirements.
  • Drive continuous improvement of the logistics processes; seek opportunities to lift the performance levels and productivities resulting in cost, quality, lead-time and inventory improvements.
  • Develop, coach and lead a high performing team.
  • Encourage a working environment that promotes personal development and collaboration.
  • Coach and guide team members to use effective problem solving and communication techniques

Skills and Requirements

  • 7 – 10 years of experience in logistics preferably with a vertical retail company
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, strong sense of urgency to solve multiple complex issues
  • Demonstrate ability to identify and escalate potential risks proactively
  • Must have ability to communicate and present complex information through data, clearly and concisely, across all levels of management
  • High energy, team player with strong collaboration skills who can build relationships and work effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Ability to build collaborative relationships across departments and divisions supporting a team environment
  • Excellent time management skills with a sense of priority for deadlines and attention to detail
  • Experience with Microsoft D365 a plus
  • Computer proficiency in MS Office: Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
