In order to do this, we are hiring a Senior Payroll Specialist to join our team! We are looking for someone who will be responsible for providing support to the Company’s accounting operation, including but not limited to payroll, expense reports, and month end close activities, as well as various projects. The Senior Payroll Specialist will be the “to-go” person for all PL, DE, UK and US employees that have any payroll queries. The position requires attention to detail, analytical skills, and excellent customer service due to the sensitivity and confidentiality of payroll information.
What you will do
- Implementation, maintenance, and review of payroll systems to ensure timely and accurate processing of payroll transactions including salaries, benefits, taxes, and other deductions for PL, DE, UK and US entities.
- Management of employee inquiries related to payroll as well as completion of various national statistical surveys and also answering governmental offices requests.
- Ensuring accurate and timely processing of payroll updates including new hires, terminations, and changes to pay rates.
- Preparation and responsibility for accurate records and reports of payroll transactions.
- Ensuring compliance with local payroll and labor law.
- Preparation of Polish employment contracts and amendments.
- Preparation of bank transfers for Polish and German payroll.
- Management of all employee documentation regarding payroll, in both digital and physical forms.
- Participation in audits by providing records and documentation to auditors.
- Support for regional compliance efforts in close collaboration with our People, Finance, and Legal teams.
- Identification and recommendations for updates to payroll processing software, systems, and procedures as well as assistance with any project testing and integrations
- Performing other duties as assigned, participation in overall process improvement initiatives as they arise.
We would love it if you have
- Knowledge of the payroll function including preparation, balancing, internal control, and payroll taxes in PL. Knowledge of DE/UK/US payroll is a strong plus!
- Fluency in Polish and English.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency with Excel.
- Proficiency with ADP payroll software.
