Summary


Lincoln Electric is seeking a Plant Engineering Intern for our Euclid, OH headquarters. Plant Engineering implements capital projects and provides engineering support for the Consumable and Machine divisions of the Cleveland Operations. The Plant Engineering Intern will work primarily with other CAD Drafters, Engineers, and Maintenance Electricians to update documentation and learn the role of Plant Engineering and Maintenance. The Plant Engineering Intern will shadow Engineers and Maintenance on the shop floor to help troubleshoot and repair industrial equipment.


What You Will Do:

 

  • Support Electrical Plant Engineers with creation and/or modifying electrical drawings

  • Support Maintenance by modifying drawings that require updates

  • Maintain and update electrical drawings

  • Provide assistance troubleshooting electrical circuits with production and maintenance

  • Fabrication and installation of prototype circuits and control enclosures

  • Assist with the electrical startup of equipment

  • Documentation of electrical equipment and enclosures

  • Maintaining programs and parameters for equipment and devices

  • Basic electrical circuit design

  • Industrial control panel fabrication

  • Other duties as assigned by manager

 

Required Experinece & Education

  • High school student

  • Current enrollment in a vocational school electrical program.

  • Willing to learn electrical CAD drafting and electrical controls in an industrial environment.

  • Ability to effectively apply all drafting standards, practices, and procedures.

  • Uncompromising attitude towards quality.
