Job Description:
Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Public Available Electronic Information (PAEI) Data Analyst to join our team. You will work closely with our DCSA partners as well as data engineers, analysts, and other stakeholders to ensure that our data-driven initiatives are effective and aligned with our organizational goals.
Note: Preference will be given to candidates in the NCR that can commute to Hanover, MD and be on-site 2x days a week.
What You'll Be Doing:
Collect, clean, and analyze large datasets from publicly available electronic sources to identify trends, patterns, and insights that can inform business decisions
Develop and maintain dashboards and reports to visualize data and communicate findings to stakeholders
Ensure the accuracy, completeness, and consistency of data by implementing data validation and quality control processes
Collaborate with data engineers to design and maintain data collection processes, ensuring the integrity and quality of data from various public sources
What Required Skills You'll Bring:
Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field.
A minimum of 2 years of experience in data analysis or a related role
Proficiency in data analysis tools and programming languages such as SQL, Python, or R
Strong experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar
Familiarity with data cleaning and preprocessing techniques
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment
What Desired Skills You'll Bring:
Experience with web scraping tools and techniques
Knowledge of statistical analysis and modeling
Familiarity with big data technologies such as Hadoop or Spark
Understanding of data privacy and security best practices
