JOB SUMMARY
The Financial Analyst is responsible for analyzing and reporting of daily, weekly and monthly activity across multiple assigned GL Accounts. This role is responsible for analyzing, reconciling and reporting out on their respective GL accounts. They will play a critical role in monthly and quarterly closing of the books by preparing timely and accurate analysis on their accounts.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Provide daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly analysis and reporting on performance & trend for their respective accounts.
- Track and report on departmental costs by cost center and report to budget holders’ key drivers of change.
- Work with budget holders monthly and during annual updates to identify risks and opportunities within their budgets.
- Track key performance drivers including headcount, labor hours, labor dollars, temp spend and report analytical to support decision making process.
- Assist in monthly and quarterly closing activities to deliver timely and quality reporting requirements.
- Support to identify actions to mitigate any risks for the plant to deliver their yearly performance and costing objectives.
- Support in audit activities where applicable.
- Support in ad-hoc requests and projects where needed.
- You will perform other duties as assigned.
WHO YOU ARE
- Undergraduate Degree in Finance or Accounting
- Minimum of 1 to 3 years of experience in Financial Analysis positions
- Working knowledge/understanding of Manufacturing MRP systems (SAP preferably)
- Working experience, ideally in fast paced consumer goods, cosmetics, pharmaceutical or manufacturing industry
- Capacity and drive to identify & implement process improvement opportunities.
- Strong analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Must be able to multi-task and meet demanding deadlines in fast-paced fast-changing environments.
- Capable to take ownership of the tasks and think out of the box to improve processes.
- Organized, timely and attention to detail is required.
