1212 - Software Engineer Intern

Summary/Objective

Follows established software engineering processes and works from established requirements to test and/or develop software components, subsystems, and system enhancements to support staff.

Essential Functions

• Assisting with all aspects of software design and development
• Developing innovative solutions
• Writing and maintaining code
• Troubleshooting software issues
• Creating and conducting development tests
• Working with the Integration and Test team to resolve issues
• Participating in code reviews
• Continually improving software development skills
• Generating and maintaining project documentation

Specific Skills

• Strong analytical skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to learn new software and technologies quickly.
• Ability to follow instructions and work in a team environment.
• Windows development experience
• Understanding of software development lifecycle (i.e., requirements, design, code, and test)
• Object Orientated programming experience (e.g., Java, C++, C#, JavaScript)

Required Education/Certifications

• Currently enrolled in a bachelor's degree program majoring in Computer Science or a related field with a graduation date of December 2024 or beyond.
