Senior Accountant
DESCRIPTION OF POSITION:
- The Senior Accountant provides assistance in the accounting, maintaining and reporting all accounting applications. Overall responsibility for assisting in all functions of the accounting department.
SUPERVISION: Reports directly to the Accounting Controller
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
- Assists in providing accurate accounting reports (financial statements, reconciliations, budget, cash reporting and requirements, fixed assets) on a monthly basis for the system which includes the hospitals and all clinics.
- Communicates appropriately with management and outside auditors.
- Responsible for month end reconciliations and resolves any discrepancies in a timely manner.

EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE
- A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and equivalent work experience in the Accounting Field.
- 4-5 Years of experience of working in accounting.
- Ability to read, analyze and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports and legal documents.
- Ability to define and solve problems individually.
- Ability to respond to common inquires or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies or members of the business community.
Physical Demands/Work Environment
- Work may require a variety of physical activities such as standing, walking, bending, stooping.
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position for 50% of the time.
- The work environment may be physically confining.
- Must be able to exchange accurate information with patients, family, peers and medical personnel.
