Job Duties:

Join the Housing & Residential Education team as a full-time Housing & Administrative Support professional and play a key role in creating a welcoming, efficient, and mission-driven residential experience for more than 2,200 students and 2,000 summer guests each year. Reporting to the Housing Operations and Communications Manager, this position provides essential administrative and operational support to a dynamic team of professional staff and student employees. You’ll manage information, coordinate logistics, and help prioritize competing tasks—ensuring the department advances unit goals that align with the University’s mission to transform lives through education and strengthen communities in Northeast Wisconsin.

Key Job Responsibilities:

  • Serves as a first point of contact for individuals and groups, provides basic organizational information via phone, in person and through other communication mediums, and routes more complex inquiries to the appropriate entities.
  • Collects, analyzes, and prepares various communication materials from established sources utilizing technology mediums. Reviews and assesses status of student work orders in housing system, conducting needed follow up.
  • Sends, receives, copies, and distributes communications to the appropriate entities according to established policies and procedures under general supervision
  • Schedules logistics and secures resources for meetings, conferences, travel, and work unit operations including assisting with student staff hiring forms, departmental mail/printing, and management of access cards
  • Maintains established methods and organizational systems directed at the maintenance of electronic/physical records related to work operations according to established policies and procedures. Assists with IT, supplies, and facilities ordering and distribution.

Compensation:

Hourly compensation range of $18.25 to $20.00. This position is not exempt from the overtime provisions of the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA). 

Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Experience working with people
  • Satisfactory criminal background check

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Customer Service Experience
  • Experience with computer software including Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Experience working on a college campus

Conditions of Appointment:

Position is a full-time University Staff appointment. The work hours for this position will be 7:45 a.m. - 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday on the Green Bay campus.

 

A criminal conviction investigation [and pre-work screen examination] will be conducted on the finalist(s).  In addition, if the final selected candidate has prior work history within the last 7 years with Universities of Wisconsin, a personnel file review check for employee misconduct will be completed. A [six/twelve]-month probationary period is required for this position.
