Our Curries brand is growing! We are looking to add a Test Facility Technician to the team!

 

This will be an on-site position that will be based out of our Curries Innovation Technology Center located about 10-15 minutes from our main building in Mason City, Iowa

What would you do as our Test Facility Technician?

You will assist with setting up and testing of our products. Your results will help us to ensure that our doors can withstand fire, hurricanes, etc. You will review and document your results.

 

You would also:

  • Ensure all applicable Safety requirements are maintained and applicable personal protective equipment (PPE) is used.
  • Follow the ITC Quality Manual, Procedures, and work instructions to support Listing organization (UL, Intertek, etc.) accreditation of the Test Facility.
  • Support scheduled Test Facility activities including inventorying and ordering material to meet testing requirements.
  • Obtain and maintain expertise on relevant test standards.
  • Assist in construction of test walls and installation of doors, frames and hardware.
  • Assist in obtaining and recording required test data.
  • Perform basic preventative maintenance to test apparatus and facility equipment.
  • Perform day to day up-keep and janitorial duties as required for facility and grounds.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Actively participate in providing a safe and harmonious working environment for all employees.
  • Maintains compliance with federal, state, local and corporate governance policies, regulations, and laws, AADG programs and policies and the ASSA ABLOY Code of Conduct.

 

 

What we are looking for:

  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Basic welding and building construction skills preferred.
  • Ability to present ideas in user-friendly language.

  • Capable of lifting 70lbs and comfortable working on ladders, operating a scissor lift and lift-truck.
  • 40+ hour weeks M-F, will be required to work overtime as required by testing schedule.
